We are open for Sunday Worship

Our church building is open for in-person worship on Sunday mornings - including singing. While it will no longer be a legal requirement to wear face masks from April 4th, as the levels of COVID-19 remain high, we would still recommend that you wear a mask, certainly whilst entering or leaving the building. If you chose not to wear a mask, please respect the needs of others and keep a reasonable distance from those around you to minimise risk. You must not come to church if you are not well or displaying any signs of COVID-19 or if you are required to be self-isolating.

‘Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others’

Philippians 2;4

Teas and coffees are now being served after the service and you are welcome to join us.

Our Halls are now open as well and most of our regular groups have restarted, along with some new ones.

In place of the weekly Joint Online Service which we were organising along with the Aberdeen City Centre and West End Churches during lockdown, our own Sunday Services are recorded and published every Wednesday - you can view these on this web site or browse through an archive of our previous recordings.

You can also browse through and view an archive of previous recordings of the Joint Online Services.

Midstocket Parish Church Service

Holburn West Church members joined Midstocket Church members at the fourth of our summer joint services at Midstocket Church last Sunday. The service was led by Rev. Duncan Eddie and the organist was Joy Brockley. The service is available for you to watch from home and if you wish, join in with the lovely hymns.

For the month of July, joint services are being held every Sunday with other churches in our Parish Grouping. This Sunday, 31st July, there is a Communion Service for everyone from grouping in Holburn West Church.

Our Office can still be contacted by phone and email at the usual numbers.

My name is Tanya Webster, and it is my pleasure at the start of 2020 to introduce myself as the new minister of Midstocket Parish Church.

I was born in Zambia to a Scottish mother and an English father and was brought up in South Africa.

I did my first degree in Accounting and auditing in South Africa and worked for the accounting firm KPMG in Pietermatitzburg near Durban for several years before moving to Scotland.

In 2004, I experienced a call to Church ministry, and was accepted by the Church of Scotland as a candidate for full-time ministry.

I graduated from Glasgow University in 2009, and after a year as a probationary minister in Kirriemuir, I was ordained and inducted as minister at Ardrossan Park Church.

I was minster there and Moderator of the Presbytery of Ardrossan before hearing God call me to Midstocket Church.

I am aware that being in the ministry can be challenging and rewarding and requires leadership, energy and compassion.

Midstocket Church has regular opportunities for worship, and a wide range of community activities. I hope to meet you at some of these events during 2020.

Our journey begins together.

God bless.
