Music at the Cross

The Choir at the Cross

We are fortunate, at Fountainhall at the Cross, to have inherited the musical traditions of our past, including our choir. We are very pleased to welcome some new members from the other churches in our union.  The choir at Fountainhall at the Cross contributes to worship each Sunday at 10.30 am from the beginning of September to the beginning of June.

The choir meets for rehearsals, on Thursday evenings, from end August to end May from 7.00 – 8.30 pm in the sanctuary at the Cross. Should you wish to consider joining the choir or participate in any other musical activities please contact our Director of Music, Ewen by emailing ewen@culter.net The ability to read music is not essential.

Choral Scholarships

At present we have fours choral scholars in the choir and scholarships are available to those who are fifteen years old and above and remain in full time education.  The scholarship program offers the participants opportunity to increase their musical skills, improve sight reading, learn a varied repertoire, and gain valuable experience for the future particularly in terms of their CV.
